With a New County Executive, What Comes Next for PGCPS?

Of the many reasons Prince Georgians can’t afford to skip this election: our public schools! One of the new County Executive’s first tasks will be exercising their responsibility for overseeing the county’s public school system. Until HB 1107 is changed (and it SHOULD be), the hybrid school board it authorized remains the rule of the land, and the next County Executive will have great authority over PGCPS and shape the school systems’ leadership through their appointments to the Board of Education.
